The Mindful Journey series is a forum for exploring some of the trickier areas of life that can be difficult to navigate on your own. When looking at ourselves and how we interact with the world, it's easy to get fearful, become distracted, or get stuck. This series is designed to help you get unstuck and help you to move in a positive direction that is meaningful to you.


Two of the most powerful tools we can use to support ourselves are Mindfulness and Psychological Flexibility. In the Mindful Journey series, we will explore selected topics from the perspective of mindfulness and psychological flexibility using the ACT Matrix in order to gain insight, feel at ease,  and act skillfully to enhance our quality of life. 


Mindful Journeys are free, 1-2 hour long Zoom sessions hosted by Dr Kevin Walsh, Certified Mindfulness Teacher and ACT Matrix Facilitator.  They are designed to help you face new challenges while having fun at the same time.  Mindful Journeys are not lectures--they are engaging and interactive sessions that can help you:

Mindfulness: an Introduction For The Critical Skeptic

You've heard the hype:  mindfulness can make you happier, less miserable, more serene, more connected and resilient, etc., etc., etc.   How could mindfulness  possibly bring all those  benefits?

If you are skeptical about mindfulness--and also a little curious--then we invite you to attend a 90 minute introduction to this frequently-talked-about and often-misunderstood practice.  Dr Kevin Walsh is a physician who has had a mindfulness practice for over 20 years.  As a clinician, he worked with patients and medical colleagues in the use of mindfulness to promote health.  And, since 2018 he has worked as a certified mindfulness teacher, training hundreds of students.  This introduction will be fun, interactive, and no meditation is required.  We hope you can join us!
